Once it's been fitted

All the Manufacturer's have slightly different products that are designed to protect their products once fitted.

Most produce a sealer of some description, which will generally be applied once every 6-12 months. This process includes stripping the floor back with a 'Stripper' solution - mopping the floor over with it - to remove the previous sealant and any associated dirt. Once this is done, the sealer should then be re-applied to the floor, using a mop again. This effectively puts a protective layer over the floor to prevent any dirt or scuffs affecting the wear layer.

As long as the above process is followed, daily maintenance should simply be a question of sweeping the floor with a Micro-fibre cloth to remove all dust and dirt, and then mopping the floor with the manufacturer's recommended cleaner.

You should NEVER use any form of abrasive cleaner (eg. JIF) on your LVT floor as this will eventually wear the top layer through.

It is possible to remove individual planks and replace with new in the unlikely event of any damage that cannot be cleaned out. This is a process that should be undertaken by a professional LVT installer.
