A velvet pile carpet is essentially a tufted product that is double, or triple sheared to give a very clean, smooth finish. The tufts are not twisted, but simply come straight up from the base

Maintenance

Installation
Because a velvet pile carpet will show every mark, it is vital that it is fitted correctly, with the pile direction aligned, and at the correct tension. This will ensure a long life and appearance retention.
