ALL ACTIVITIES SUSPENDED DUE TO LOCKDOWN 4/1/21
Sisal is a hard fibre extracted from the leaves of Sisal plants, which are perennial succulents that grow in hot and dry areas. Sisal is 100% biodegradable.
It can be fitted on stairs, but please bear in mind that you are essentially walking on the side of the fibre, and so will not be able to grip as well as with a tufted carpet for example.
Sisal is a 100% Natural product, grown without pesticides, and is also 100% biodegradable. It is naturally tough and hard-wearing and can be woven into a number of interesting designs.
Sisal must be delivered to the proposed room of installation at least 24 hours before fitting. This allows it to adjust to the ambient atmospheric conditions.
As Sisal is not an inherently stable product, it must be fitted on an underlay that allows it to be stuck to the sub-floor. This will minimise any movement once installed.
No liquid should be allowed to come into contact with Sisal, as this could cause irreparable damage. Generally, vacuuming as required is sufficient in most cases.
