Industrial vinyl

What it is

Industrial Vinyl is essentially the same as Cushion Vinyl, but without the cushion layer. This means that it is basically a sheet of solid vinyl. This gives a much firmer feel, but also means that the product is extremely tough and resilient, therefore it is more likely to be used in industrial and commercial areas.

Features

Being a sheet of 'pure' vinyl means that this is a very tough, hard wearing product, that is also extremely stable. It's waterproof, easily cleaned, and comes in a number of attractive designs.

Industrial Vinyl is very tough and hard-wearing, extremely easy to clean and maintain, and is also 100% Waterproof. Because of it's stability, it is possible to fit this product using the Cap and Cove technique, where it is fitted 10cm up the wall all round. This makes it ideal for any areas where water is likely to get on the floor, including wet-rooms and walk-in showers.

Where you would find it

It can be used in any commercial, industrial or residential location. When fitted using the cap and cove technique it can be used in Wet rooms, Shower-rooms and walk-in Showers.

Installation

It is absolutely vital that Industrial Vinyl is fitted professionally. The sub-floor must be prepared correctly to ensure it is 100% Flat and smooth before fitting the Vinyl. The Vinyl itself must be fitted accurately, with any joins welded, and using the Cap and Cove technique where necessary to ensure the floor remains water-tight at all times.

Care & Maintenance

Once fitted, you should brush and mop the Industrial Vinyl as required, using hot soapy water. Abrasive cleaners such as JIF should not be used on the product, as this will eventually wear away the top surface.
