It is vital that your LVT floor is planned properly. This means that you should be advised on plank direction; plank orientation; border or feature strip usage; random tile utilisation amongst other things.
It is vital that you have the area where the LVT is to be fitted is correctly measured to ensure minimum wastage, and maximum efficiency for the flooring that you purchase. Our free measuring and planning service will ensure that this is the case.
All LVT's will need to be fitted on a dry floor. Excessive moisture in the floor will lead to a number of potential issues, including the floor peeling of the floor in time. We will undertake a free damp test as part of our measuring service, and advise you of any corrective action that is required.
The temperature of the floor and the room will need to be constant for 24 hours prior to installation, and for 48 hours after installation. This will ensure that there are no problems with the product expanding or contracting with the variable heat.
Dryback LVT should always be fitted on a flat, smooth and dry sub-floor. It should also ideally be level, although this is not always necessary. We will undertake a full sub-floor check as part of our measuring service, and advise you of any rectification work that is required.
We will only ever use the manufacturer's recommended adhesive, as this ensures the warranty is validated. We will advise you of the best type of adhesive to use - whether it be a High Temperature product for Kitchens and Conservatories, or a Pressure Sensitive product for Hallways and Lounges.
