UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT
Wood comes from a tree. Every tree is different. Therefore every wood floor is different. It is impossible to match existing flooring, and you may get a different looking floor to the sample. Samples are simply an indication.
Moisture has a big impact on wood. Any moisture in the sub-floor will need to be resolved prior to installation. We will ALWAYS carry out a damp test when we measure and advise you on any corrective action that we feel is necessary.
There are so many options when selecting a wood floor - from width of plank, length of plank, bevelled edges, matt or satin finishes, oiled or lacquered surface etc etc. Please take time to make sure you are happy with what you are having laid, as changing once it's ordered is expensive.
A Wood floor needs a lot of care and maintenance. You should NEVER use any water on the floor. It will need to be brushed over with a microfibre cloth as required, and also to be cleaned with the appropriate cleaner weekly.
Sanding and Sealing of a Wood floor is a time consuming and dusty job. You should be prepared for the room in question to be out of action for at least 4 days, and for there to be some dust residue in the house once we've finished.
A Wood floor will change in appearance over time - it will inevitably get some scuffs and marks, and will also age naturally and change colour as it is exposed to light. This is all perfectly natural and to be expected.
